Academics

For the year of 2016, Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of Georgia had an average GPA of 3.5.

Gamma Pi Chapter prides itself on its academic achievements. Our Academic Achievement Chair, Madelyn Herrington, encourages and assists members, and she and her assistants discuss study habits, create chapter GPA goals, and proctor study hall hours on Sunday nights.

We recognize members’ accomplishments through weekly with our "smartie panties" award. Each week, Madelyn randomly draws from a list of girls who have received an A on an assignment in the last week. The winner then receives the smartie pants award for the week. As you may know, The University of Georgia is prestigious academic school to attend. The smartie pants award gives our members an academic incentive to feel important and appreciated in the chapter.
