Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Zeta’s national philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education & Awareness, is something our chapter holds close to our hearts. We aim to support survivors, educate one another on our risks, and fundraise to advance research towards a cure. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. We won’t stop fighting until one in eight is none in eight!
Each year during Pink Month, Gamma Pi hosts Diamond Challenge, a softball tournament where we encourage students, parents, and members of the community to compete with all proceeds going toward the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation. This year we are also excited to host our second annual Think Pink 5K. Runners from around the Athens community gather for a race around the beautiful city leading up to the finish line and a pink powder celebration at our very own Zeta house!
Over the past three years, our chapter has raised over $400,000 for our philanthropy. We are so thankful for the donors, chapter members, families, and friends that have given so much to aid us in reaching our goals. We are so excited and expectant for what this year holds and promise to continue working to aid the lives of so many!
